Latin American Conference 2007 (Part 2)

I've just got to Guadalajara this morning. 6:30am I was at the bus terminal. I took a cab to home. It was 7:00am. Then I went to sleep. Man, I was really tired!!! It's a seven hours trip from Mexico City to Guadalajara. I slept all the way, and still was tired. I slept fron 7:00am to 12:00pm, and still I was tired, so I slept again from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Right now is 12:20am, and I think I'm gonna sleep again. Hahahaha...

It has been cool to serve the Conference. I got to know many servants of God. Even people that knew my father but I didn't know them. It was interesting when they came to me and said: 'Hi! Are you M. Timothy Rhee's son?' And I was like: 'Hmm... Yes. Do I know you?' Or, 'Should I know you?' But any ways, it was a very interesting experience.

Ester Choi, thank you for being such a great friend and coworker. I wouldn't be able to sleep without your help.

On Sunday, we went to the hotel like 7:00pm, and people started comming like 10:00pm or 10:30pm. We started to asign them their rooms. When we finished, like 11:00pm, M. Bernabe Choi told us that there was a group that was comming at 1:00am, so we waited. It was 1:00am, and they didn't come. 1:30am, and they still didn't come. Ester told me to go to get some sleep, I refused. But at 2:00am, my batteries were done. So I slept in the couch in the lobby. I woke up like 4:00am, because a missionary and a shepherd asked me if they were leaving at 4:00am to the airport. At first, I didn't understand them. I thought they were asking me for a room, 'cause I was waiting for people. I didn't know that I was 4:00am, until I went to Ester's room and asked her if there was a free room. She told me that the peolple we were waiting came at 3:00am, and that there was no rooms. When I went down and asked them if they wanted to sleep in the same room or if it was fine to sleep in different rooms, they were like, 'What are you talking about?' I was sooo ashamed. But, man, it was 4:00am.

I sent this people with the shepherd on charge to take them to the airport. The next ones would leave at 5:30am, so I decided no to go to my room, but to sleep in the lobby again. When my alarm clock (or, should I say 'my alarm celphone'?) woke me up, I opend my eyes, and there was a person next to me. I closed my eyes againt, but it just pased one second when I rememberd that I was expecting people to come. I opened my eyes again, and there she was. Christine Toh (aka. Agi Toh) was sitting there. Again... I was so embarrassed. I didn't know what to do. I barely could open my eyes because I just woke up, and this pretty girl was right next to me. Anyways, I finished doing my job, to send her and other shepherds to the airport.

Sunday I went to sleep at 2:00am... well... I didn't sleep on Sunday night. On Monday I slept form 2:00am to 4:00am, and 5:00am to 5:30am. Then I did all the check outs from the hotel, and after helping the tour guys to orginize the buses, I went to the airport. It was 1:00pm. I stayed there and helped UBF missionaries, shepherds and sheeps to take their flights. I went back to the hotel like 8:00pm. Then I helped Ester a little bit, and went to sleep at 1:00am. Tuesday I had to wake up at 4:00am to be at the airport at 5:00am. I stayed there until 7:00pm. Again, at the hotel, I did some little things. Ester had everything under control. So I went to sleep al 12:00am. But un Wednesday I had to get up at 3:00am to be ready at 3:30am.

It was realy crazy. To be at the airport all day is madness. I knew that no one was comming, but at the same time I wasn't able to go any where else because somebody could come in any moment. I drank a lot of coffe. I think Star Bucks was happy because of me. But I liked to know all the people I met there, to pray with them and help them when they needed help.

It was crazy. It was hard. Many thimes I thought I was driven to the brink of madness. But still, I ejoyed very much, and I would do this again. As many times it's needed. I hope people form the staff of the International Conference 2008 call me to help them.

But for now. I want to sleep. When I came to Guadalajara there were some shepherds from Namsan Center in Korea, and some other missionaries. So it isn't over for me, yet. I have to wake up at 4:00am to take a missionary to the airport. So, farewell! I shall write more about the Conference, but not right now. There is too much to write.
