The march of the unqualified

3 notes

Usually I don't post this often, but I have a lot of time to wait until my next apointment. I'm in Chicago, so there's nothing to do but to wait. So I was reading John H. Armstrong's blog and found this clip. I liked it a lot, so Mr. Armstrong, and I hope you too.

Snowflake

0 notes

Finally, after many years, I get to see snow again. Two years ago I went to Chile for the winter conference. We went to the mountains and there was snow, but it wasn't snowing. So I experienced what is walking on the snow and the cold, but I didn't see the snowflakes falling from the sky.

I read an article in a magazine that all the snowflakes are alike. There aren't two snowflakes that have the same shape. So one of the first things I did was to watch carefully the snow flakes. Unfortunately, my eyes aren't that good. I recognized some differences but at the same time, there were some others that seemed to have the same shape. But I'll trust science.

Another thing I read is that the shape of the snowflakes can be described mathematically by fractals. Indeed they are fractals. I would love to have a microscopic view to see each detail, but as far as I could see with my not very good eyes, snow flakes are amazing, and they are just as described in my math books.

It's nice to see snow again!!!

Anarchy

0 notes

Surfing the Internet (and i know how to do it), I was reading some things about Obama/Clinton stuff. You know, we have to know how's gonna be the next president of the world. But I found an interesting quiz, and here is the result.

Hahahaha.... I'm an anarchist and part democratic!!! Or, am I an anarchist and democratic??? Even more... can someone be anarchist and democratic????

This is the definition: "Belief in the abolition of all government and the organization of society on a cooperative basis." But when I read the definition, I think I'm not anarchist. I strongly believe that an authority is needed to keep order, if not, everything is gonna be a mess. I'm against authoritarianism or totalitarianism, but still order is needed.

If anyone want's to do the quiz, click here, and tell me which political party you believe in.

Anyways, I think I won't listen to this quiz.

Hello USA... again...

1 notes

I usually don't travel this much to the US. It's been just three months since the last time, but it looks like completely another part of the world somehow. California with the heat and beach, and Toledo and Chicago snowing. I know that it wasn't that cold at LA because I went on fall, but anyways, it doesn't snow there... does it? I know Chicago, but I've been there only on summer, when it's really hot.

When I got here, I remembered when I went to Chile. Santiago gave me the welcome with a nice 0°C (32°F). Chicago did the same today, and Toledo also. It is nice to be here, and it is also nice to see Sh. Elizabeth and Sh. Jeremy again. Everyone in Toledo are very nice.

Well... gotta sleep.

The geek inside me...

1 notes

I totaly forgot about a homepage I did in my college years. It was my final project for Robotics III. Looking at some old mails, I found the link, so if some want to read it, here it is. My profesor asked us to deliver the report as a website, not hardcopy, so I had to do a express site. I don't expect many people to see it, but at least I won't loose the link for few months again... hehehe... The thing is that I did all the project by myself because my team mates were.... hhmmm.... not... smart... enough...

Qué sería de mí

3 notes

This is a music video that we did. For New Year celebration each fellowship had to present something, so we decided to do this. Unfortunatly for some people, it is in spanish, but here is the translation of the lyrics, so you may know what it is about, at least.

What would I be.

What would I be today if you had not forgiven me.
Where would I be if you had not reached me.

I would have an emptyness in my heart
I would be wandering with out course, with out direction.

If it wasn't because of your grace and your love.
If it wasn't because fo your grace and your love.

I would have been like a bird that dies on the floor.
I would have been like a deer that dies in a dessert without water.

If it wasn't because of your grace and your love.
If it wasn't because of your grace and your love.

Enjoy it!!!

What can be better that to serve God?

1 notes

I thank God that he lets me serve his ministry. I'm serious when I say that I'm a very bad leader. I have a very hard character and when I'm under pressure I use to yell on everyone and get mad because I'm stressed. But still, He is teaching and training me to serve him.

Last year we had so many activities, that I didn't have a time to take a breath. Even going to LA became a big training, it was my first time to prepare and deliver a message in english. Last year was tough, and this year that is starting, seems to be even tougher. But I'm glad and very greteful that my Lord wants to use me.

Even when I got tiered helping here and there, doing this and that, I'm very happy. Also, God has blessed me a lot. On December, at christmast servece, we had 20 Sunday worship antendece in our fellowship. Also Brisa, from CUAAD, is studying the Bible very loyally, and there are some more sheeps that are very faithfull to Bible study at CUAAD. God also gave us four disciple candidates that we are praying to rose them as disciples this year so they may become shepherds next year. And there are a lot of blessings I received last year.

What can be even better that to serve God? Not even having a Lamborghini Reventon or winning a Novel Prize.
